Bloggers 2

December 31, 2006

On The Side Note:

Note To Self: I hope this coming year is going to be a fruitful and a happy one for me. My resolution would be to drop 10kg off my body (lets see if I can do this) and also to find myself a girl. =P Kidding…

So I thought the last post would be it for the year 2006. Surprisingly, it’s not because since I mentioned quite a number of bloggers, everyone seemed to want to have a piece of it. So here I am, going to write my second post as a tribute to fine bloggers out there

The first person I am gonna introduce to you guys would have to be none other than Rose Wong. She asked me, how come there was no description of her. So here goes, I knew this girl actually from high school. I saw her but obviously, she was oblivious to my presence as I wasn’t significant back then. I am not saying I am now, you get what I mean. In case you guys don’t know, she is a petite, slim girl who claims herself to be FAT! OMG OMG… another case of anorexia nervosa.

Here, here, let me show you guys a picture of her:

Rose Wong

As you can see, she was so happy that Frankie took her photo. She even had to pose with her handphone. :P Frankie censored her and made her look so ugly. How could he? I mean, a beautiful face deserves to be seen by the public, no? :P

Oh and she calls this a high class Kelisa:

HIGH CLASS KELISA!!! OMG, SHE CALLS THIS A HIGH CLASS KELISA! Can someone please drop by and tell her what this car is? I tried telling her what car this is, CAN DIE!!

Anyway, back to her, I then got to know her very well like errr.. I dunno, after high school, which was like 5 years later. She was like pretending to be “shy” initially. Only after going out with her a couple of times, when I started to suan her like there was no tomorrow that she started opening up and that was when her true colours showed. She became a completely different person all together. Yea, that’s how I like it. :P

The next person I am gonna talk about would be this guy who likes to call himself, Ah Mike. For some reason, he chose “cloudedpawn” as his web address. Why is he a clouded pawn is just beyond me. I’d rather be the King and have the clouded pawn do my dirty job. I was just kidding mate. Don’t take it seriously. :D

This guy somehow looks too young to be 22, or is it just me being too old. :( It is also a surprise that he prefers his face to be censored. I don’t know why because he sure as hell isn’t ugly. In fact, I believe that if I had posted up his picture, a gazillion girls would start flocking to him. :D

The final person I am gonna talk about would be none other than Pink Cotton. Why she chose pink cotton is beyond me? Does she love pink cotton a lot? I don’t know. One thing for sure is, 80% of all her stuffs are probably pink in colour.
pinkcottonchat.JPG

I dropped by her blog recently to greet her with a Hi. The nick I used was @lViN and she interpreted that as Ivin. That was pretty funny. To make it funnier, she asked if Ivan and I were twins. So, the answer to that is no, we are not. :)

Anyway, this is actually a picture of Pink Cotton:

pinkcotton.JPG

No, that’s not her. She is supposedly an anonymous blogger. Upon in depth research, she isn’t that anonymous after all. Out of respect for her privacy, I shall not reveal her true identity. So her identity shall remain as Pink Cotton until she decides other wise. See how nice I am to you Pink Cotton? :P

Anyway, I guess this would really be it for 2006. To those bloggers out there whom I know and I did not pay tribute to, do know that I’d actually add you to the post had I have known about it. It’s also way too long to add all bloggers. To all the fine bloggers out there, another big cheers to you guys and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007!!! I am going to light some fireworks up soon. :P

Bloggers

December 29, 2006

On The Side Note:
1) The internet has been throttled down to snail’s pace since Wednesday morning due to the Taiwan earthquake. Consequently, trying to link to blogs on international waters are a pain in the back.

2) I am leaving for KL sometime next week. Who is there? Leave me a note. :)

It’s ironic how blogging can make the world seems so small. After more than a year since I started blogging, I eventually built up a series of network. First of all, I had numerous friends who blog and through them, I started getting to know more people who did the same. Inevitably, there are numerous good bloggers out there such as the like of Kenny Sia. I intended to put his coconut picture here but due to the internet slow down, I failed to do so. Of course, there are others like Sixth Seal (his site has been down for quite sometime, for reasons unknown to me), Nicole and Cheesie/Ringo. These sites are full of photos ranging from food, events, travels all the way to anything at all.

I have got to admit, the photos do make blog entries interesting to read. Somehow, when it comes to photos, I am never a camwhore and I don’t take my camera everywhere I go. So that explains the lack of photos on my blog. Nonetheless, it is the essence of the contents I am looking at when I read a blog. Some people might have tonnes of photos on their blogs but when you read the entries, they bring no meaning whatsoever.

That aside, I have friends who blog and the few whom I initially knew were Michelle, Rose, Tiffanie and Frankie.

Frankie

This dude Frankie is like my college mate. Those days were sweet. We were basically very carefree and did whatever we liked. Somehow, he got into the art of blogging and he expanded his network pretty fast. I intended my blog as a personal place for me to jot down my thinkings and feelings so that was why I didn’t bother.

I don’t get what Frankie is trying to do up there. Seemed like he drew two coconuts. Ohhh, I get it, he loves both his coconuts. No hard feelings, Frankie. ;)

From his blog, I got to know this girl:

Naomi

She is saying she is too thin, so I am thinking of donating my extra fat off to her free of charge. lol. Just a note, Naomi, if you somehow do not like your picture to be posted here, please do not hesitate to leave me a note and I’ll gladly remove it. :)

Coincidentally, I also knew her sister, well not personally but I have seen her. What did I say about the world being such a small place? More specifically, Kuching is such a small place! Never would I have imagined bumping into a girl in the world of blogging, whose sister I have seen ages ago. Nothing bad here, in fact I was pleasantly surprised.

I then had some visitors who left a note on my blog. Unfortunately for me, WordPress.com would not allow Javascript chatboxes, so my visitors had to leave comments. Truth be told, one of these visitors somehow found his way around to my blog and what do you know?

Ivan

This dude, Ivan, is my long long long lost friend. We met at the International Tuition School (ITS). It’s an english tuition school and now, I am going to pay tribute to this very tuition because, had it not been for this tuition, Ivan and I wouldn’t have come this far in the world of English. We learned our very foundation of English in this very tuition, agreed, Ivan?

Then, I had this girl dropping by to wish me a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2007. How sweet of her to have dropped by. The girl I am referring to is AprilCherrie. Unfortunately, I cannot grab a picture of her, since her server would not allow hotlinking her pictures, I believe. Since I can’t grab a picture of her, I would be using this in place of her face:

AprilCherrie

Anywayz, her site is like number 18 in MalaysiaTopBlogs and mine would have to be like the first FROM THE BOTTOM! :D

Then, there was this girl, Chloe, who dropped by and gave me a good, short, advice. It’s a very refreshing one especially for someone like me, who is hanging in the middle of no where trying to make the right decision so as not to regret it in the future. Many thanks for the advice girl!

That is her above. That’s Chloe. I WAS JUST KIDDING!

Now, that’s really her, staring at some hot hunks at the beach. I was just kidding again. That’s actually her relaxing at the beach.

For some reason, Chloe names her site purpleism.com. I am wondering why? Could it be that she subscribes to the beliefs of purpleism? Is she a purpleist? In case you guys haven’t noticed, I was just joking around. What does purpleists believe in anyway? Chloe, no offence, I was just merely making a lame joke but way to go girl, nice blog you have there. :) Chloe, just so you know, you can actually integrate your domain name to WordPress now so you don’t have to redirect the domain to your WordPress account anymore. It costs USD 10 a year though, which isn’t really that expensive. :)

I also have another visitor who apparently loves the meanness of my blog. Is my blog mean? Sure there are some vulgarities here and there but I can’t help it when I am faced with idiots on a daily basis in my life. Who is this girl I am talking about? It’s none other than Kath.

That’s her and errr…. her world…. ;)

She agreed with me strongly on one of the post, so strong that she quoted me, well of course with the vulgarities out of the way.

kathquote.JPG

I tell you, as of writing right now, my balls are growing. I am so proud someone actually quoted me. :P One thing though, all of a sudden, I turned into a boy. See those underlined words? “This boy is right”. Hmmmm…..

Last but not least, who could forget the invaluable spammers who gave me a grand total of 7,425 spams as of writing. Not too long ago, I was just talking about comment spams within the limits of 3 figures, and it’s now 4 figures and approaching 5! For that, I must thank spammers for their effort and visits but… TRY HARDER NEXT TIME! AKISMET HAS BLOCKED ALL YOUR SPAMS! :)

Lastly, those who have their pictures posted here, in case you do not wish for your photo to appear here for any reasons, please leave me a note and I’ll remove it, no questions asked. All photos are copyrighted by their respective owners. None of these images were stored on my server except for Frankie’s and of course the firework picture below. The firework picture is also not mine but others. To the owner of the picture below, please leave me a note if you do not wish for me to use your firework picture. :)

fireworks.jpg

This post serves as a tribute to all the fine bloggers out there who make the world of blogging a better place and not those who blog like this. So happy blogging, people!

All that being said, I think this would pretty much sum up this year for me. I would like to wish my fellow readers a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007 and may you have a great and blessed year ahead!

Merry Christmas 2006

December 25, 2006

fireworks.jpg

The tradition of firecrackers and fireworks were originally practised by the ancient Chinese during the Chinese New Year festival in order to ward off evil spirits. It seems to me that this tradition has evolved overtime into a practise common to all Malaysians during all festivals. As of writing right now, fellow Kuchingites are lighting up fireworks and firecrackers to ward off “evil spirits”. :D

I don’t mean this in a bad way. It’s a good thing and I like it for the fact that fireworks indeed brighten up any festivals and functions. I am glad people are practising it but of course, please be careful when lighting up fireworks. It’s a fun thing to do if done responsibly. Do not play with home made fireworks for any reason. Those are dangerous and might just go off at very unpredictable moments due to bad manufacturing process. You might end up in the hospital instead of enjoying the festivals. So take care people.

All that being said, I’d like to wish all my fellow readers a very HAPPY AND MERRY CHRISTMAS 2006!!!
